My Old Samsung BlackjackII Smartphone…
My old Samsung BlackjackII Smartphone died this morning. I know… dah dah dahdah dah dahdah dah dah dahdah… It was gone… won’t power on at all, doesn’t even recognize when the charger is plugged in.
Well, that phone had lasted me a long time, outlasted the service contract (woot!) and this is the most amazing part… I just backed up all my files from it (pics, notes, etc) yesterday. I’ve dropped that phone many times. About a year ago, I dropped it as I was walking one time and kicked it across a street. I picked up the pieces and snapped them back together and it never quit… well that is until today.
I was so impressed by this phone, that I completely resisted purchasing an iPhone 3GS and went instead with the Samsung Jack (the latest version of Samsung’s Windows Phone). Since it is a Windows phone and will sync seemlessy by direct push to my email server for my email, calendar, contacts, notes… I love it. I’ll slap in a new a 16GB MicroSD card in it and be set with a decent amount of music, files and pics. I believe it will even take all of my peripherals, chargers and spare batteries.
Now if I could only get upgraded network at my house. I get spotty 2G at the house… and spotty 3G in town.
