About 15 years ago, Dell put out a neat little mini tower the Dimension 2100. They were small, very quiet… We installed a bunch of them. Well I’ve been holding onto one of them so I could build a miniITX system for our media center at home.
Although small, with a little modification, a full-sized, high-power ATX power supply fits. So here’s what I put inside:
ASUS C60M1-1, Dual-core Fusion APU C-60, 16GB DDR3 1600 RAM, 4TB Raid 1 Storage, DVD-RW (may put in Bluray soon), 680-Watt ATX Power, Windows 8.1 Pro w/media center, media card reader.
It looks good, extremely quiet, stays cools and plays media GREAT.
